 All living beings need water. Humans, animals and plants cannot exist without water. Earth is the only planet which has water and air. So without water there wouldn't be life on earth.

The earth consists of 71% of water and only 0.01% of drinking water. Today water is scarce due to the human activities of man. Water is useful to us in many ways. We use water for drinking , domestic use , for agriculture , for industries and factories , to produce hydro - electricity , to make medicines , for building constructions and much more.

Water beautifies the earth and provides entertainment too. The deep blue sea, river , lakes, waterfalls are pleasing to the eye. People and children enjoy bathing and swimming in them. It's relaxing , fun and enjoyable. Many water sports like swimming , water polo , surfing , diving and water skiing are some of the entertainment. All of us should get together to conserve water for us and for the existence of life in the future.
