Sri lanka is a small island 425Km long 225Km wide. But it has gained a name like any other big country in the world due to many reasons. It is situated to the south of India, this fair island had been known by the world community as "The pearl of the indian ocean".

Imperialists from time to time invaded the island as they had as eye on the beauty and treasures found in abundance. Our heritage is blessed with natural resources and a population who inherited their own culture. Plenty of sunny beaches, rivers, starting from the hill country , silver - ribbon like waterfalls and many varieties of greeneries enrich our natural beauty.

Of all these , it is the works of fine art done by our forefathers, place sri lanka high among other countries of the world. Ancient cities like Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are kingdoms of good old days. These existing ruins tell us how civilized , prosperous and determined a hation the Sri Lankans were under the reigns of the kings in the past. We all face the challenge of developing Sri Lanka for a better future.
